“Season of Light”
One of my favorite parts of this “Season” is the lights.
For instance, I love lighting the Hanukah candles. I buy the small candles in many colors.I love placing a rainbow of different colored candles on the Menorah, then carefully lighting each one as we say the prayers. The sight of them lit always makes me feel warm inside.
We also love driving around the area to see the Christmas lights. The last two years we have driven around to see Christmas light displays at different houses throughout the
Providence area. Often times the displays had computer regulated lights that synchronized
to music. So cool!
True that you can search and view different locations on Youtube, yet if they are close enough to you, they are so much more enjoyable to see them in person. Just note where in your neighborhood they are. Then go visit them. With Google maps it is as easy as pie!
Have a warm, healthy, fun Season.

Darla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
