“Grateful ”
The air is cooler now. The many colored leaves of Fall are everywhere. The tree in our backyard has yellow, orange and brown colored leaves. They blanket the yard.
As I walk with one of my daughters to school, the sun is just rising on the horizon.
I’m the breakfast monitor at their school. Though it can be a challenging job watching the kids and such sometimes, I like the people that I work with at the school.
Later I go to my work at the farm. The driveway up to the farm is lined with apples trees. Some apples are still on the tree while others have fallen to the ground. Blue jays fly by. Later I hear a slight scream from a hawk circling high in the sky. The horses are now blanketed when it’s cold. They stand or lie down to soak in the warmth of the sun.
It’s physical work, yet I’ve found it suites me. Besides I love the farm and the horses.
I go home later to my house-home. I picked up my daughters from school.
My hubby comes home around 6. We have supper.
Later in the evening I’ve sat down and done some art work. I started my holiday card image that I will be sending to family, friends and businesses on my list.
What do all these things have in common.
They’re all things I’m grateful for.
What about you? What are you grateful for?
Happy Thanksgiving

Soldier Portraits
Darla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
