A Throwback

“A Throwback”

I’ve participated in exhibits over the years.
Some of the  exhibits were part of an art association. Others were arts fairs or festivals.  And one a solo exhibit.

On FaceBook, I’ve noticed certain days people like to post a picture from the past, also known as TBT (Throwback Thursdays).  It is sort of fun to see pictures from the past.  I posted my baby picture on one TBT.  fun

I thought I’d share a “Throwback” in my newsletter.

In 1984, I entered one of my first exhibits.  It was the student exhibit with the Randolph Art Association.
I won a First place ribbon for my charcoal drawing of  “Horses”.

Here one can see my art work with the blue ribbon.  Second one I’m standing next to the art displayed.
sigh, so many years ago.  😀   Yet good to remember.

Fast forward to now.

I’ll be participating in an exhibit coming up starting in June.  The Members exhibit with the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative group in their gallery.  It will be a summer long exhibit.
Fun

Le Cadeau du Cheval

Several artists in the Equine Art Guild were a part of this unique tribute to the horse. Click on the image above to read all about it and the artists who participated in it’s creation, as well as see where it will be coming to a location near you in the coming year!

Soldier Portraits
Darla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
