“Death and Taxes”
In the month of April, Tax time is coming to a near close.
I was reminded of something my parents have said to me.
There are two constants: Death and Taxes
(with a touch of humor)
Well, Yes. Hmmmmm
Both my parents worked for the Internal Revenue service, which equates to this.
Dad was always sure to remind us of praticalities. And about doing what we needed to do.
In running any business, there wil be the things that one enjoys immensely and other things that feel more mundane and tedious. Yet having a business requires the whole package, essentailly.
I’ve noted over time that being in a business can feel like a whole other animal.
I’ve found it can feel like being turned inside out and upside down at times.
It requires growth, learning and stretching. And sometimes it doesn’t feel so good.
Yet the moments when things come together, with each success, you can see the bumps in the road were there for some reason guiding you along.
Best to you on your own journeys.

Soldier Portraits
Darla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
