As George Washington sends depressing messages describing one military disaster after another, the businessmen, landowners and slave holders in Congress all stand in the way of the Declaration, and a single “nay” vote will forever end the question of independence. Large portions of spoken and sung dialog are taken directly from the letters and memoirs of the actual participants. Written by Dave Heston <heston@iName.com>

I found it fascinating that despite knowing the outcome of our nation being born, that as I watched the movie I still felt some suspense.
The facts were that they didn’t all see eye to eye on issues. That there were loud discussions. There were those that were undecided. They spend days deliberating. Messages from G. Washington informed them what was going on out in the military fields. They were amidst a revolution.
Yet we became a nation. There was enough people that believed. That tipped the fates in our direction, I suppose.
There still are debates about this or that cause or situation. And there are always people ready to stand for what they believe.
In doing so we are shaping our world. Hopefully toward a better “tomorrow”.
I think we have made bounds in some ways.
Yet life and situations are continuous. It involves our participation.

The future is ahead of us. Who knows how we can shape it.

Feature Art/Product:

“Water Fall, NH”

I created this scratch board image from a picture I took at “The Basin at Franconian Notch”, NH.

Water is an element on this earth. It has shaped our world and our lives in amazing ways.

Check out Great Gift items at Lisa’s Art & Horses

Gift Certificates available.

Please feel free to contact me with questions on art/products and/or comments at lisa@lisasart.com

Art News

“Le Cadeau du Cheval”
Several artists in the Equine Art Guild were a part of this unique tribute to the horse.
