\u201cLove at first site\u2026of a horse\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

My love for horses one might say\u00a0 was \u201cLove at first site\u201d.My first encounter with horses was when my parents took me to a local stable for pony rides. I was probably about 5\u00a0 yrs. old.One look was all it took.I was so enamored. I loved being up in the saddle the first time.I felt on top of the world and this gentle, beautiful creature, the horse, carried me along.After that I seemed to seek out horses in just about every thing: coloring books, drawing books (which I studied and drew my own horses on paper), toys\/Breyer horses.Though I haven\u2019t yet owned my own horse, it\u2019s continued on throughout my life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, what better way to learn than to learn through horses\u2026 books of horses.<\/span><\/p>\n

My mom encouraged me to read and what books would I read, whether from the public library or our home library\u2026you got it \u201cabout Horses\u201d.One of my favorites is still \u201cLittle Black, A Pony\u201d by Walter Farley.I\u2019ve read others too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Man \u2019o War, SeaBiscuit, The Black Stallion. The list goes on and on.
\nHow enriching for me it was to read and learn about horses.What better way to expand my knowledge than to immerse myself in books and learning\u2026and include horses in that journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, Just because of those years, I\u2019ve set a side a couple of sections for those horse crazy kids.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Frogs”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Frogs” evolved through a brainstorming session. I was trying to come up with a story for which the main character was a frog. My little cousin gave me the idea when she was visiting once. <\/span><\/p>\n

We were sitting on the living room rug and I was asking her what she wanted me to draw. She said “Dr. Frog”. I quizedly said, “Dr. Frog”? She said “yes” and laughed because I seemed stumped. I drew her what I thought a Dr. Frog would look like. She loved it. My Uncle, when I told him about\u00a0 it, could only guess she came up with it through her fascination with the froggy items at my mom’s house and the many doctors she had to see because she had some medical problems as well as mental problems. She is physically\/mentally challenged and to have her come up with such an abstract idea seemed more wonderful than ever. I was inspired by this and wanted to illustrate such a story. I still haven’t come up with a story, but I came up with “Frogs” image. <\/span><\/p>\n
