Happy Thanksgiving<\/strong><\/p>\n

This month in the USA, we celebrate “Thanksgiving”. It’s a time to remember what we’re thankful.
\nThrough good times and bad times, there are always things we can be thankful.<\/p>\n

I know this year I have seen many changes, and yet what I’m thankful for rides along the ups and downs. Mostly family and good friends are the main stay.<\/p>\n

I’d like to take a moment now to Thank you:<\/p>\n

Thank you for being a subscriber to my newsletter. Being a part of my journey. Meeting me along the road, through this newsletter.<\/p>\n

Thank you to my clients and customers. I love being able to share my creativity and collaborate with you to bring wonderful works into this world.<\/p>\n

Thank you for being you.<\/p>\n

I’d like to share with you a Thanksgiving poem that my family regularly recites on Thanksgiving day.
\n( I know “Indian” is not considered politically correct)<\/p>\n

The world has changes over the generations of human kind.
\nYet we still come together because we need each other.<\/p>\n

“A Thanksgiving Poem”
\nWhere we walk to school each day
\nIndian children used to play
\nAll about our native land,
\nWhere the shops and houses stand.
\nAnd the trees were very tall,
\nAnd there were no streets at all,
\nNot a church and not a steeple
\nOnly woods and Indian people.
\nOnly wigwams on the ground,
\nAnd at night bears prowling round
\nWhat a different place to-day
\nWhere we live and work and play!<\/p>\n

Soldier Portraits<\/strong>
\nDarla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom\/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
