This past week has been filled with sadness and shock with the recent celebrity deaths.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though we knew about Farrah Fawcett\u2019s recent battle with cancer, we never knew the time of her passing would be so soon. Her career as an actress blossomed <\/span>when she was in the TV show \u201cCharlie\u2019s Angels\u201d as a stunning blonde.She shined later in a number of films. She was a wonderful, very talented and beautiful actress.She showed strength and beauty of character.How bright she shined.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then there was the shocker of the week: Micheal Jackson dies.An incredible singer and performer.He and his brothers entered the music world as “The <\/span>Jackson<\/span> 5″.<\/span><\/p>\n

He then went solo and brought us \u201cThriller\u201d and the \u201cmoonwalk\u201d.His performances were electric.<\/span><\/p>\n

I will admit I felt he was a pretty strange character at times and wondered how he seemed to practically fall off the edge on a personal level.Yet listening to\u00a0 his music and seeing him perform was amazing. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n

There is that creative side.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

I recently got an email from my sister.It had a link to a YouTube movie: Jim Henson’s, \u201cThe Frog Prince\u201d.Do you remember this movie?<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

I think it was one of Jim Hensons first Muppet movies.Yes, Jim Henson who moved puppetry to a new level with \u201cThe Muppets\u201d.I grew up with \u201cKermit, the Frog\u201d.\u00a0 This movie featured \u201cKermit\u201d and \u201cRobin\u201d with a few other frogs, Muppet friends and actors\/actresses.My sisters and I watched this movie years ago.I was so enchanted by it.I remembered it vividly. Well it\u2019s still around, and now on YouTube. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jim Henson would also die sooner than we had expected.What a gift he gave the world through his creativity.He let the creativity guide him in his endeavors. <\/span><\/p>\n

I could pick out others, as Walt Disney.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Then there is a local story of a dancer, \u201cMiss Jessie M.\u201d. She died at a young age after a battle with ovarian cancer.She danced so much\u00a0 through her life.She danced every moment she could.She lit up the stage. She was an inspiration to watch.\u00a0 This year’s Dance recital was in memory of her. It was an emotional recital.\u00a0 There were tears of sadness and tears of joy.There was a sense of being thankful for the moments to share our love for dance, music, art and ourselves. <\/span><\/p>\n

She is a reminder to us that we need to share that \u201ccreative side\u201d and love. <\/span><\/p>\n

Act on the present, the\u201cNow\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe present\u201d is the gift.<\/span><\/p>\n
