“Putting Smiles on Faces”<\/p>\n

It can be so heart warming to do something that puts a smile on someone’s face.
\nEven more exciting is when one can put a smile on many peoples faces.<\/p>\n

I had a recent opportunity where I did Face painting at an event.
\nThe Event was an Open House at Horses Bring Hope therapeutic riding program.<\/p>\n

I got organized at my table and painted the director’s daughter’s face. \u00a0Once others noticed the face painting table, they came over to have their daughter’s and son’s face painted.
\nI had a sheet of some images they could look at so they could choose which image they wanted.
\nI asked each child what they wanted. \u00a0Then I painted their face.
\nWhen I held up the mirror for them to see it, \u00a0a smile would light up on their face.
\nHow wonderful a feeling to be able to put a smile on someone’s face.<\/p>\n

We all want to be able to bring happiness to others.
\nWe all have talents and gifts. \u00a0I believe we are meant to use our talents to serve others.
\nAnd in this case to bring a smile to someone’s face.<\/p>\n

Soldier Portraits<\/strong>
\nDarla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom\/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”<\/p>\n
