{"id":204,"date":"2009-08-03T18:40:54","date_gmt":"2009-08-03T18:40:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/?p=204"},"modified":"2009-08-03T18:44:33","modified_gmt":"2009-08-03T18:44:33","slug":"drawing-on-passion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/drawing-on-passion\/","title":{"rendered":"Drawing on Passion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cDrawing on Passion\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My mom recalls I started drawing when\u00a0 \u201cI first picked up a pencil\u201d.\u00a0 I have\u00a0 always enjoyed drawing.\u00a0 Though there were some times I\u2019d go for a little while without doing so, I have always come back to it over and over.\u00a0\u00a0 I would seem almost lost if I didn\u2019t take time to draw, like something was missing. I\u2019m also very thankful for my parents and teachers that encouraged me to \u201ckeep it up\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, I pursued a career in art.\u00a0 I felt following my talents and strengths would lead me to where I was meant to go in the world. I can say there have been ups and downs, yet I wouldn\u2019t change a thing.\u00a0 I love creating and so that\u2019s what I do.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve always felt that no matter where I\u2019m at in life,\u00a0 I\u2019ll be able to create.<\/p>\n<p>We attended a Billy Joel\/Elton John concert recently. \u00a0The Piano men of Rock.\u00a0 Billy Joel and Elton John may be reaching their senior years, yet they continue to play and create some awesome music.\u00a0 They\u2019ll be rocking to the end of time.<\/p>\n<p>On the same note, you can count on me creating on and on and sharing my art and journey.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s one of my newest images I recently did in scratch board.<\/p>\n<p>African Elephant.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"african elephant\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lisasart.com\/africanelephant.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"356\" height=\"261\" \/><br \/>\nSome one commented on this when I posted it at wetcanvas.com.\u00a0 They said it reminded them of the \u201cBaby\u00a0 Elephant Walk\u201d.\u00a0 Ha, I remember that song and can play it on the piano\u2026well sort of.\u00a0 I\u2019m a bit rusty on the piano, though I enjoy playing some times.<\/p>\n<p>Can you feel the rhythm?<\/p>\n<p>To see my latest scratch board images (part of my journey to 2010 BankRI exhibit) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lisasart.com\/blog\">Visit my Blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for being a part of my journey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feature Art\/product<\/strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"jumper pony\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lisasart.com\/jumperpony.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"372\" \/><br \/>\n&#8220;Jumper Pony&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jumper Pony&#8221; is a charcoal pencil drawing I did from a reference photo I took at a horse jumping show.<\/p>\n<p>A young rider and pony jumping a fence.\u00a0 It was exciting to watch them do their round on the course.<\/p>\n<p>I had this image printed on T-shirts and sweatshirts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jumper Pony&#8221; is available as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lisasart.com\/t-shirtdesign.html\">T-shirt or sweatshirt<\/a>.
