Sometimes we find it too easy to look at what went wrong, or what went bad. \u00a0We should reflect on the good memories as well. Those good things should be looked at and given attention. \u00a0<\/span>
There was a time in my life, quite a while ago, where I had a lot of challenges. \u00a0I remember thinking, “This is not what I want in the future”. \u00a0At that time one of the things I had to do was to break off a relationship I was in. And I did. \u00a0<\/span>

As I worked through the feelings of seeing what I didn’t want, there came a point I found where it occurred to me that I had to make a decision. “What do I really\u00a0want?”. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
With effort over time, I have achieved what I do want. \u00a0<\/span>
Life does have its twist and turns, yet we can make decisions that change it for the better to have more of what we really want.<\/span><\/span>

My youngest daughter at times has mentioned she likes the piano. \u00a0<\/span>
Well, presently, we don’t have a keyboard, \u00a0The one we had\u00a0died, \u00a0<\/span>
So she downloaded a\u00a0Piano App to her phone. \u00a0She is liking it a little. \u00a0<\/span>
Yet for me an App just doesn’t quite do it. \u00a0I tried the piano app, yes. \u00a0But after having had piano lessons when I was young for five years and enjoying playing the piano, the App just didn’t cut it,<\/span>
Similar to some people who still like to pick up a book and hold it, and turn the pages as they read. There’s something wonderful about\u00a0holding and feeling something physical. \u00a0 Well, that’s what happens to me when I play a real piano. \u00a0I like sitting down on the piano bench, feeling the keys under my fingers. I know\u00a0enough to know what sound each key\u00a0makes. I\u00a0hit a key to hear that note. Then further it to hitting more keys and playing them to hear the music that I want to hear.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThis was taken a couple years ago when I was feeling a need to get more out of my comfort zone.<\/p>\n

\nDarla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom\/Operation Enduring Freedom.
