“Rain Showers”<\/p>\n

My youngest daughter was Bat Mitzvah-ed the 1st day of this month. \u00a0She did well. \u00a0We’re so proud. \u00a0It was a lovely event.<\/p>\n

Though the day started out with rain. \u00a0It cleared up in the afternoon.
\nSuch is weather patterns. \u00a0“Wait 2 minutes and it changes”.<\/p>\n

It’s the coming of the rain showers that make the earth bloom.
\nMy daffodils bloomed.
\nThere’s green grass in the horse pastures.
\nTulip leaves have come through ready to bloom.
\nTiny leaf buds are on trees.<\/p>\n

Both my daughters are now into the teenage years. \u00a0oh boy.<\/p>\n

Who knows what’s ahead.
\nLife is bountiful and boundless.<\/p>\n

\nDarla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom\/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
