We would feed the ducks and pigeons and go for a ride on the swan boats. I always enjoyed going there.

When we got older my Dad decided to take us on family vacations. He wanted us to see other places. Our first vacation was to Washington D.C. I remember enjoying seeing the monuments and going on the White House tour. My Dad wanted us to be open to new things and learning. I always enjoyed our vacations where ever they were.

Though My parents don’t travel as much any more, my sisters got the travel “bug” and have done a bit of traveling. Unlike them I haven’t travel as much, but did go back to one vacation spot we went to, Niagara Falls.

My Husband and I went to Niagara Falls in August 2005. We enjoyed it a lot. During that time I suspected I may be pregnant, and when we got home it was confirmed. It just made the time we had even more special.

We now have two girls. Last year, we got together with my oldest sister and her daughter and went into Boston to the Public Gardens. It was fun and it felt good to return there with our kids.

Have a great summer and enjoy times with your kids

Cheers to Dad

Wisdom and Experience

My Husband’s Dad passed away around the holidays. I met him in 1993 at their Christmas eve party. He had a wonderful laugh that could make one feel pretty good.
Over the years, I enjoyed talking with him. He always had an ear to listen and had wise and comforting words to respond. He wasn’t one to talk a lot, but the wisdom he had thru his own experiences shone thru.
Will miss that Laugh especially.

Peace to all

Feature Art/Product:

“Public Gardens”
pen and ink
avaiable in poster prints

“Public Gardens” a view of the walking bridge at The Public Gardens, Boston.

Happy Father’s Day

“Pass it on” to a friend.
Receive great coupons to my store

Best to all

Lisa Wald Guarino
Lisa’s ART & Horses
181 West Forest Ave.
Pawtucket, RI 02860
www.lisasart.com

Father’s Day is celebrated this month.
