{"id":2432,"date":"2018-10-09T20:06:42","date_gmt":"2018-10-09T20:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/?p=2432"},"modified":"2018-10-10T17:22:44","modified_gmt":"2018-10-10T17:22:44","slug":"autumn-leaves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/autumn-leaves\/","title":{"rendered":"Autumn Leaves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Autumn Leaves&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sad to say I lost my Mom on Sept. 29th.\u00a0 It has been a tough week, yet with the support of family and friends we&#8217;ve\u00a0been able to take it one day at a time.<\/p>\n<p>I lost my Dad in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>I am in my 50&#8217;s.\u00a0 \u00a0I&#8217;m seeing my girls grow up.<\/p>\n<p>I look out the window to see autumn leaves\u00a0changing from green to reds, yellows and oranges.<\/p>\n<p>On one of my walks in the morning,\u00a0I thought about the season&#8217;s change. There is a season for everything.\u00a0\u00a0In autumn the leaves of the past season nourish the next spring.\u00a0 There are seasons in our life.\u00a0 A lot of my aunts and uncles have passed on.\u00a0 Those before us supported and nourished our generation. There is a continuum.\u00a0The leaves fall.\u00a0 Flowers grow and bloom, then wither.\u00a0 The flowers and leaves decompose and nourish the soil.\u00a0 Our children will grow up and learn.\u00a0 They grow with each experience. Click on the image above to read all about it and the artists who participated in it\u2019s creation, as well as see where it will be coming to a location near you in the coming year!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soldier Portraits<\/strong><br \/>\nDarla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom\/Operation Enduring Freedom.
