\u201cFly Upward”<\/strong><\/p>\n

We had a wildlife rescue in our yard recently.\u00a0 I was looking out the window and noticed our neighbor\u2019s cat stalking and jumping away from something in our garden. I went out to look but didn\u2019t see anything at first.\u00a0 My husband called me back out when he found it.\u00a0 It was a young robin that had one wing slightly hurt and couldn\u2019t fly. \u00a0I called animal control and they came to pick it up.\u00a0 They took it to the local wildlife rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

I called a couple of days later for an update on the robin.\u00a0 It turned out that they were able to help it and eventually it moved to a fostering home to heal and be released when well. \u00a0She mentioned the young ones have a pretty good chance of recovery and release. \u00a0It was one of a few robins that had been brought in to the wildlife rehab.<\/p>\n

Good to know there are those out there to lend a helping hand.\u00a0 We felt good about our deed.<\/p>\n

In these times it\u2019s a good point to remember that there is help and hope.<\/p>\n

Life is meant to be lived to the fullest.<\/p>\n

Bring out your talents and share it with the others.<\/p>\n

A small act can make so much of a difference.<\/p>\n

So stretch your wings, strengthen them to the wind and Fly.<\/p>\n

“Snow Leopard<\/a>” is my latest\u00a0 scratch board image I created from a photo I took at the zoo of the snow leopard.<\/p>\n

This art work will be among my other scratch board works presented in my upcoming “White on Black” 2011 calendar, which will be available for purchase.<\/p>\n
