Happy New Year<\/p>\n

“A Creative Journey”<\/p>\n

Another year has begun to unfold.\u00a0 Each day is another step on the journey of life.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s ahead? Where are things moving? Only time will tell.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve come to a place in my life where I know what I know.\u00a0 And know what I don\u2019t know\u201d.\u00a0 I am certain about some things and completely unsure of other things.<\/p>\n

I can say that some things worked out as I predicted while other things did not.\u00a0 There have been things that were expected and other things that were wonderful surprises.<\/p>\n

My creative path has been filled with twist and turns, highs and lows.<\/p>\n

As a creative being, I witness what I know and don\u2019t know.\u00a0\u00a0 In creating there can be an image, an idea, that one focuses on creating.\u00a0 There\u2019s learned techniques and honed skills that are used in the creative process.\u00a0 Yet there\u2019s another part of creating where there\u2019s an unknown.\u00a0 Unknown in how the process will move.\u00a0 An unknown about what challenges might arise along the way.\u00a0 And those moments when the energy may seem to go in an odd direction to becoming a \u201chappy accident\u201d.\u00a0 \u201cHappy accidents\u201d can be amazingly wonderful.\u00a0 Perhaps something inside came through in it\u2019s unique way.\u00a0 It\u2019s something to stand back and view.<\/p>\n

Whether a sculpture taking a block of clay or painter with brush in hand, one can\u2019t always know where the energy will land. Yet we continue to handle that clay, and pick up that brush to the canvas and explore what could be.\u00a0 We take the steps down that path to learn, experiment and explore where our creativity leads.\u00a0 We embrace the adventure it heeds.<\/p>\n
