{"id":98,"date":"2009-01-29T17:47:10","date_gmt":"2009-01-29T17:47:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/?p=98"},"modified":"2009-03-24T21:13:13","modified_gmt":"2009-03-24T21:13:13","slug":"work-in-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/work-in-progress\/","title":{"rendered":"Works in progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Works in progress:<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve started working on some scratch board images for my BankRI exhibit in February 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Scratch board: scratch is a board\/piece of paper with a layer of clay on it.\u00a0 Ink is applied by the artist or manufactorer on top of clay.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been buying already inked scratch boards lately. \u00a0 The tools used with scratch board are an exacto knife or other sharp tools.\u00a0 The name &#8220;scratch board&#8221; comes from using a sharp tool\u00a0 to &#8220;scratch out&#8221; image.\u00a0 When a line is created with an exacto knife the under lying clay (usually white) is exposed.<\/p>\n<p>Thus an image is created with white lines on a black surface.<\/p>\n<p>Here is &#8220;tiny snow caps&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/tinysnowcaps.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-99\" title=\"tinysnowcaps\" src=\"https:\/\/lisasart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/tinysnowcaps-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Works in progress: I&#8217;ve started working on some scratch board images for my BankRI exhibit in February 2010.
