“Connection”
At the beginning of this year in a coaching group I’m in, a few of us decided to choose a word or words to focus on during the year. I chose “Connection”. The word “Connection” stood out for me. Personally and business wise I felt this was an area to focus on.
It is the human need to connect, whether in work/career situations or personal situations. People do need other people. It’s in our nature. Our lives are intertwined in each other. We aren’t meant to do things all alone, as I’ve mentioned before. It’s in our connections that we have more ability to have successes.
To relate
To understand
To Love
To create………so forth and so on.
And it doesn’t just stop at each other but goes out and beyond into this amazing world we live in.
There’s a wise saying among people who have or are around horses.
“The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man”.
I have personally experienced this myself. Though I have yet to own a horse, I have had horses here and there in my life:
Camp, volunteering at a barn, riding lessons…
I currently volunteer at a therapy riding program and love it. It feels really good to be around the horses, the people and other animals too. Thy cup overflow’eth.
One can apply this idea in many other ways within each of our own lives.
So make as many positive connections as one can in life. It will make a difference in a positive way.
Light and Love in this season.

Soldier Portraits
Darla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
