Inspiration
What inspires you?
These were the questions discussed during last week’s Blue Stocking Salon call hosted by Ariane Goodwin, Art Career Coach.
Question was “What inspires you?
Well the answer to that can be rather expansive.
Yes, I do have a “Muse” in some way, Horses, yet that’s not where I stop.
There are a lot of other things as I walk through each day, and experiences and such that I can find inspiration in…interesting, curious about, excited about, … etc.
It’s all food for thought.
Warning- I have rather active wheels turning all the time.
One recent example I talked about was when I was waiting for the kid’s summer camp bus.
The camp bus drops them off at the elementary school, which is a short walk from our house.
I was standing there just looking around and waiting. The sun was shining.
Well what got me sort of interested visually?
the light and shadow on one of the tree trunks. The lower branches of the tree and the sun shining on it created a wonderful pattern on the tree’s trunk. Not just splashes of sunlight, but a pattern of leaves and branches. I was like “wow, cool”.
The bus came and “no” I didn’t have the time to do something with it then, yet I took note.
After the Blue Stocking Call I got to thinking about it again.
So another sunny afternoon before the bus came I did a quick sketch of it.
And I’m sharing it with you.
