“Noticing”

“Monday, Monday.” I was coming down the stairs from the upstairs room. I got to the last step and stepped down. I took a wrong step and twisted my foot. It hurt and I couldn’t stand on it. Thus, we had a trip to the Dr.: Dr. appointment, X-rays. I have a slight chip on my ankle bone. Ugh. So, It’s time for resting, icing and pain management. I will see the Dr. again in 2 weeks.

“What a pain. How could this happen”, I said to my husband.
“Things happen”, he replied.
It can seem like quite a downer when things go wrong or when what we thought should happen doesn’t.
Life sure can throw some curve balls our way. And yet things line up “As Is”. I’m noticing how things work out and in sync, even when it doesn’t seem like it.

For instance, my husband is unemployed at this time. He was home looking for another job when this happened. “Now no, that’s not good”. Yet if he was working at a job He probably would have had to take “time off” to help me. “As Is”, He’s home and is helping me.
Oh, granted, I can’t work my P-T job in the morning at the school. Well, I don’t know here . All I can say is “Things go as they go”. Some things just are what they are. “Who knows”.

My husband brought my Mac computer downstairs so I could do my stuff on the computer. I check my email, my blog, forums, ect. Oh, and I typed this article for my newsletter.
So this accident hasn’t stopped me in some ways.

OK, It’s hard to move around.
Perhaps I needed to be reminded to slow down sometimes.
I’m also finding I have no choice but to relax, and reminded to not get impatient. To just let things be as they are. Usually I’m on the go to get things done like errands, cleaning, art work, etc. Yet now I must rest to allow my foot to heal.

Things happen. Life happens. We can’t know what’s ahead.
What we can do is:
Be open to the idea that things are what they are at the moment.
Be open when things don’t go our way.
And do the best we can.
If something doesn’t go the way we expected, perhaps it was because it wasn’t quite a fit. Maybe we need to be patient. Maybe there is something just around the corner that we can’t see yet that might be a perfect fit.
“Who knows”. Dare to ask that and be open.

  1. Hello! Someone in my Myspace group shared this website with us so I came to look it over. I’m definitely enjoying the information. I’m bookmarking and will be tweeting this to my followers! Wonderful blog and wonderful style and design.

  2. I found the information on this post valuable.

  3. Great job once again. I am looking forward for your next post.

  4. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

  5. If you’re new to blogging you can start by signing up with blogger.com or similar site that is easy to get started with. blogger.com is free and also has good resources to help you learn about blogging.

This is a WordPress.org blog. WordPress.org can be set up through a server host. Or one can use WordPress.com right on WordPress site- both are free to use. WordPress also has good resources about blogging and use.

    LG

  6. I am really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A couple of my blog audience have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?

  7. I use Firefox and Explorer and have no issues.

I’ve had a couple of viewers comment that they’ve had issues with Opra, Chrome.
And there have been comments posted that didn’t specify what the issue was. :-O

I’m not advanced tech savy and can’t figure out why there would be a problem.
This WP I’m using is an up-to-date version.
I did update the theme recently. Not sure if that would improve others viewing. Though it hasn’t been that long I haven’t had any comments about such. Again I’m not advanced tech savy.

I also don’t use chrome or Opra. I don’t necessarily use the latest “thing”. That’s just me. 🙂

    Thanks
