Happy Thanksgiving
“10-10 Gratitude List”
Thanksgiving is a holiday that reminds us to be thankful for all the things that make up our lives. But we need not have to wait for a holiday to be grateful.
We can be grateful everyday.
There’s a simple gratitude practice that I found out about. It’s called the 10-10 gratitude list. It can be part of a morning meditation routine. One takes a notebook and sits in a quiet space. One then writes down 10 things that he/she is grateful for right now. Then one writes 10 things that they would want. The notebook is then put aside. Each day it’s the same simple task. It can be done once or twice a day.
It’s about being “thankful” every day, in the morning and the evening.
One might ask, “Why the morning”. I’ll summarize what a rabbi spoke of at a service I was at.
He spoke about saying Thanks in the morning as a wonderful way to start the day and frame it in our minds. It could be the most powerful thing one can do each day.
I ‘ve found a gem in doing so.
So give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Darla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
