Happy Spring
Well almost. The Spring Equinox is March 20.
The month of February blew in snow storm after snow storm. Snow piled on top of snow.
The snow banks were very large after the snow plow went by and we shoveled what we could.
March roared in like a lion, with some snow to top it all off.
The other day was the first day in a long time that was warmish and the snow began to melt.
Slowly the snow is melting.
I’m just seeing the ground underneath today.
And I’m hoping to see some crocuses come up when the snow melts away enough. The crocuses usually come up and through at the end of February. But because of the large amount of snow, nothing has yet had a chance to be un-earthed.
Yet soon all will be un-earthed and ready to bloom.
All this unfolds before us. The seasons change and we witness it.
It’s been as magnificent as ever.
I look forward to seeing the horses at the farm, where I volunteer, grazing on new grass in their paddocks. And all of us enjoying the warmer weather.
Spring. Glorious Spring.

Soldier Portraits
Darla Dixon organized a group of artists who will create no-charge compassionate portraits for the families who have lost a loved one in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom. We are looking for artists to join our efforts, and also for non-artists who will help spread the word about this free service and token of our gratitude to families who have sacrificed so much.”
