“Mom Sayings”

“Mom Sayings”

Have you ever found yourself saying things that your Mother used to say to you or your siblings?

“Oh, Yes.  Part of parenthood.”

I love my mom dearly.
There was no one else that could ground me like she did.

Leave it to Mom to get right to the point.

With advice this week, I started to write down the things that she has said.
Some words were serious and right to the point.
Others with some dry quirk humor.

One that never failed to make us giggle, because of the wording of this phrase.

“When the going gets tough, The tough get going.”

( a little twister at times to remember, yet a giggle always)

I have been one to not shy away from creative projects for sure.
An artist is always striving to better themselves and stretch their skills.

Below I am sharing a couple of sneak peak pictures.

This painted saddle will be at Horses Bring Hope’s (therapeutic riding program) October Gala.
A silent auction piece.

“Warm”

Summertime

“Warm”

I live in Rode Island.

A couple of months ago, Rhode Island updated it’s motto to “Warm and Cool”.
Though it’s the smallest state in the nation, it has a large coastal area and a couple of Islands.
Being in the North, we experience all the seasons.
Rhode Island does pride itself on it’s beaches and water activities.
Our girls are at an overnight camp that enjoys waterfront activities on a large pond in southern RI.

Before they left for their adventure at camp, we took in some summer fun activities.
Hiking an Audubon trail
Watching the sun go down at R. Wheeler beach
Blueberry picking and pie making

I’m happy to report also I’ve been busy doing some pet portraits.  Business has warmed up.
I’ve enjoyed bringing out each persona of each dog.
An sweet energenic Spaniel
A lovely white golden retriever
and a multi-colored Boxer that’s face just makes one smile.
Below in Featured Art product I share the Boxer.

Enjoy
